Host-Owned Linen Terms & Conditions (Washing, Drying & Ironing)

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) outline the agreement between Le Clean Atelier (“we”, “us”, “our”) and the client (“you”, “host”, “property owner”).

By booking any service with Le Clean Atelier, including cleaning, linen hire, or linen care for host-owned linen, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not accept these Terms, please do not book our services.

2. Booking & Appointment Policies

2.1 Booking Confirmation

Appointments are confirmed only when full payment or a deposit (where applicable) has been received.

2.2 Rescheduling

You may reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before the scheduled time at no charge.

2.3 Cancellations

  • More than 24 hours’ notice: no charge

  • Within 24 hours: 50% of the service fee is charged

  • No access / lockout: full fee is charged

2.4 Access to Property

You must ensure:

  • The correct access instructions are provided

  • Lockbox codes, building codes, or key instructions are accurate

  • Guest check-out times allow cleaners to enter on time

If we cannot access the property, the full service fee applies.

3. Cleaning Services

3.1 Standard Turnover Cleaning

Our turnover cleaning includes all tasks listed on your booking description or checklist, which may be updated from time to time.

3.2 Deep Cleaning & Extras

Deep cleaning, oven cleaning, carpet cleaning, outdoor spaces, and heavy-duty tasks are not included unless you book them as add-ons.

3.3 Condition of Property

If a property is excessively dirty, requires extra labour, or has unexpected mess (e.g., pet waste, bodily fluids, party cleanup), additional charges may apply.

3.4 Damage Reporting

We will report any visible damages, leaks, or concerns, but we are not liable for issues not easily visible or detectable during normal cleaning.

4. Linen Hire Services

4.1 Linen Packs

Our linen packs include sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, towels and any additional items listed for your booking.

4.2 Replacement Guarantee

If any hired linen item is faulty or does not meet quality standards, we will replace it promptly.

4.3 Damage or Loss

Linen hired from Le Clean Atelier remains our property.
Clients are responsible for:

  • Missing items

  • Burns, tears, or permanent staining

  • Damage caused by misuse

Replacement charges may apply.

5. Host-Owned Linen (Washing, Drying & Ironing)

5.1 Linen Condition on Arrival

Linen must be supplied in a reasonably clean condition.
Excessively soiled or hazardous items may be refused.

5.2 Stain Removal

We attempt all reasonable stain removal but cannot guarantee results.

5.3 Shrinkage, Wear & Fabric Sensitivity

Natural wear, fading, shrinkage or damage due to:

  • Age,

  • Fabric type,

  • Manufacturer defects,

  • Missing care labels,

  • Delicate fabrics unsuited to commercial laundry

is not our liability.

5.4 Lost or Missing Items

We track items in and out, but we are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing mismatched sets

  • Incorrect item counts received

  • Host errors in supplying linen

5.5 Turnaround Time

Standard turnaround: 24–48 hours
Express turnaround may be available at an additional charge.

5.6 Packaging & Delivery

All laundered items are folded and packed neatly.
Delivery is included within defined service zones unless stated otherwise.

6. Service Areas

We currently serve:
Colchester, Wivenhoe, Rowhedge/Hythe, Tiptree, West Mersea, Clacton-on-Sea, Frinton-on-Sea and surrounding areas.

Minimum order values and travel fees may apply depending on location.

7. Payments

7.1 Payment Terms

Payment is due:

  • Immediately upon booking (online bookings)

  • Upon invoice for contracted services

Late payments may suspend future bookings.

7.2 Deposits

Some services require a deposit. Deposits are non-refundable inside 24 hours of the booked appointment.

7.3 Refunds

Refunds are not issued for completed services.

8. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate booking information

  • Ensure safe access for cleaners

  • Secure pets or notify us if pets are present

  • Leave linen out if using host-owned laundry service

  • Provide safe working conditions (no hazardous environments)

Failure to do so may result in additional charges or cancellation of service.

9. Limitation of Liability

Le Clean Atelier is not liable for:

  • Pre-existing property damage

  • Items not disclosed at booking

  • Damage caused by faulty appliances, plumbing, electrics

  • Damage to fragile items not removed prior to cleaning

  • Wear and tear on host-owned linen

We accept no liability for indirect, consequential, or financial loss associated with a booking.

10. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if:

  • The environment is unsafe

  • Conditions exceed the booked service level

  • Payment has not been received

  • Staff feel uncomfortable or threatened

11. Changes to Terms

Le Clean Atelier may update these Terms at any time.
The latest version will always be available on our website.
